And the heartbreak starts....

Yesterday for the first time ever DS said he wanted his Dad, not my boyfriend that has been around and that DS sometimes calls Dada (DS doesn't talk much at all). Nope, DS wanted my XH. I asked DS if he meant David, he said no. I said "oh you want your dad that lives kinda far away?" He said yes and pointed to my phone. So I called XH, and he didn't answer. DS didn't get upset or cry, it actually really surprised me that he wanted me to call him in the first place. Usually when my XH calls DS doesn't care in the least. It might be because DS hasn't seen his dad in over a month? But a little piece of my heart broke yesterday. Is it like this all the time?
