I have been MIA for a week for a very good reason, little miss Evelyn arrived on Tuesday June 26th at 1:56 am. She weighed 6 lbs 8 oz and 19 inches long.
A quick birth story, water broke @ 2:45 am Monday morning and after almost 24 hours of painful pitocin induced labor/contractions we ultimately had to have a c-section. She was descending through the birth canal face up and half way through the 2 hours of pushing she was stuck.
Recovery has been OK, breastfeeding is difficult. She had troubling latching so we are pumping and feeding with a bottle and also supplementing with formula. She ended up losing more than 10% of her birth weight so we are needing to feed every 1.5-3 hours which is exhausting.
So without further delay, introducing Evelyn

Congrats to all the other recent new mommies and best of luck to all of you:)
