So I got a phone call at work today..

It was DS's father. It went something like this:

"Uhh...some cop just showed up at my house with a court summons for child support"

Me- "Well, I told you that they would be notifying you soon, but why would a cop have to show up for that?"

"I have no clue, but he started reading the summons to me and then realized that the date had passed (June 25th) and then basically said "oops this date already passed hmm..." and left. So Idk what they are going to do now"

 

Ok, that was some really rough paraphrasing, but you get the point.

#1 what do you think is even going on here?

#2 Do cops show up at peoples houses just to tell them that they have to go to court?

#3 Why the he11 would he not show up till 2 whole days after the supposed court date?

 

I figured I would at least get notified as well. I don't even know who to call to find out what is going on, but we are both confused.
