Pumping confession

I'm not OCD about cleaning/sterilizing my pumping parts. So far, I haven't seen any consequences. I wash with hot & soapy water after every use, except sometimes (rarely) at work I just rinse with hot water and re-use in 2 hours if I don't have enough clean parts. I never sterilize unless in boiling water. I really hate the idea of microwaving plastic and think that's probably worse than not sterilizing. I clearly don't want to put LO in any sort of danger - should I be more careful? Or am I just risking having to toss some milk?
