How do you wean?

I bf my 9 month old and he gets about 10 oz of solids a day. I still bf on demand which is every 2 hours or so. I'm begining to think about weaning but want to do 1 year of BFing. But what do I do to wean? How and when do I incorporate more solids and drop nursing sessions? Tia!
