Breastfeeding with pierced nipples

I'm 22 weeks pregnant, have had my nipples pierced for a year, and want to breastfeed but don't want to lose the piercings. I'm curious if anybody who has breastfed with pierced nipples can tell me what they did to keep the piercings clean and from getting irritated. Also, I'm wondering if using cleansers like emu or lavender oil could be bad for baby if it wasn't washed off completely.
