LO (7 weeks) is just coming off a growth spurt where he was pretty consistently eating at 10pm, 1am, 4 am, 7 am. Two nights ago during his 1 am feeding he fell asleep after the left breast and wouldn't wake up for the right, so I pumped the right to avoid engorgement. Last night he wouldn't wake up at all for his 1 am feeding -- just fussed a little, I changed his diaper and he fell back asleep until 5 am! So I pumped again and added to my small stash in the fridge.
LO had jaundice his first week and struggled to get back up to birth weight, so until now I have been very careful to avoid having him miss meals. I think he is almost 10 lbs now. I had him drink most of the pumped milk this morning, but wondering if I can/should start freezing this "midnight milk" for later. How important is it that he gets this milk if he is sleeping so much more than in the past?
