we NEED a paci, help!

I have tried every paci out there, we didn't try and introduce a paci b/c we were worried about nipple confusion, so at 4 week we tried, she is 8 weeks now, and no luck. it wasn't a big deal but this past week, she has wanted to nurse to comfort almost every hour, suckles 5 minutes and is done, so i'm sure if she had a paci she would be fine. this is a new behavior. i've tried several types of paci's and she seems to gag on each one. anyone else have a similar situation?
