Late in the game wounded nipple - help!

I've been nursing LO and pumping for almost 8 months and about two weeks ago I developed a very painful, cracked, bleeding nipple (just one side).  I've read to only pump on that side for a while, and apply Lanolin, but a) the pump does more damage than DD and b) the Lanolin (also smeared with breastmilk) isn't cutting it.  In order to keep up, I generally pump 4x per day.  I've tried to do that side only 2x per day to give it a break, but it's not allowing it to heal.  I'm barely keeping up, so I can't just let that side go altogether.  Any ideas?  Suggestions?
