Dropping a pumping session ?

I haven't posted in awhile but hope you ladies can help. I pump way more milk than DS needs for DC so I end up putting at least 12 oz in the freezer a day. I already have a very large freezer supply and just want to take some stress off of myself pumping 4 times a day. So I dropped a session but I am still producing jsut as much milk. how long does it take to slow down the milk production? any tips?
