Milk storage question

Hi there, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how long you can keep milk refrigerated before freezing it and have it still be okay. I know I obviously won't be able to freeze the milk I pump at work right away but should be able to get it in the freezer within 8 or so hours (and will keep in cold until then). What about longer for milk I think I'm going to use and then not end up using right away...can that go in the freezer after 24 hours if it's never been thawed before? Thanks a bunch
