Night feedings and moms who work overnight

I'm full of questions today! DS is in our room sleeping in a bassinet. He isn't a good sleeper and wakes easily when I try to put him down after a feeding. So at some point in the night he usually ends up in bed with us so I can nurse laying down and he'll stay asleep. I'm thinking this might be setting DH up for failure though when I work overnight. Like DH may have even MORE trouble getting him to sleep in the middle of the night since he's used to nursing to sleep and snuggling. Anyone else been in this situation?
