Teething and Nursing

LO is 7 months and is cutting his first tooth. His little gum is really swollen and he is just super cranky and bummed. 

He has also been staying latched for just a few minutes then popping off then trying to get back on. It seems like he's eventually getting what he needs, but it's a fight to get him to take a full feeding. I'm just wondering if anyone has some suggestions as to how to make nursing easier on him while he gets this tooth to pop through. He also eats solids. I have been offering him extra solids just in case he is having trouble getting everything he needs from the breast. And I am pumping after each feeding to make sure my supply doesn't tank. I'm getting very little out with the pump though, so I'm guessing he is emptying them fine?
