Moving with freezer stash...

We are moving a good 8 hours away this week. It will probably end up taking a lot more than 8 hours with a newborn and having to stop so much. Any advice on how to keep my freezer stash frozen until we get there? I would hate to have to throw out what we couldn't use in 24 hours if it gets thawed out. Obviously we will put it in a cooler with ice packs, but I don't think that will keep it frozen.
