Lipstick nipple changing back?

Hi ladies,

DD has had a bad latch which resulted in lipstick nipple. Today, a LC finally showed me a good technique, and I'm pretty sure that I've gotten it right. I was just wondering if anyone knows/has experienced in the past about how long it takes for a lipstick nipple to go back to a proper shape after a bad latch is fixed?
