So 8 weeks ago when I got home from the hospital and my milk was coming in I was dealing with major oversupply issues an was engorged really bad so I pumped and froze a lot of milk for my stash- probably about 30 ounces. Now I am working on adding more to my stash because I will be away from LO for 3 nights next month and my mom will be feeding him the thawed milk in a bottle while I'm away. I am concerned about my new milk. The milk I pumped 8 weeks ago is very very dark yellow and full of fat. My new milk is not nearly as dark- its not even yellow at all, more like a creamy white. Does this mean the quality of my milk is declining? I read that milk usually adjusts to the baby's needs. So then is it going to be OK to feed LO the very fatty milk 12 weeks after it was pumped or will it make him gain too much weight or not eat at as much? Lastly, I am up to about 50 ounces now... How much do you think is an adequate amount to leave with my mom for 4 days/3 nights?
