double VS single pump??

FTM here. I plan to EBF and transition to BM in bottles before I go back to work. How does a double pump work? Do you have to hold it on the boob or does it suction there? Im going to pump @ work and realize a single pump would double the pumping time... BUT how do you 'manuver' a double pump? Im just feel like my hands would be 'full' and wont have a free hand to turn it on or off or whatever I irrationally think I will need a free hand to do.. LOL which is why I think a single pump would be better but I dont really have a rational reason i think that... i really just have no pumping experience or know anyone who has pumped to ask them. Also, how long does a pumping session last?
