When did it get easier?

When would you say that your bfing experience get "easier?" When did your supply "regulate?" I'm so worried I'm messing things up.  I really want to continue this but there are just so many things. I thought LO was going through his growth spurt bc he was eating ALL the time. Now he's in this pattern of eating from one side, falling asleep and waking up starving in 30 minutes and eating from the other side, falling asleep, and so on.  Ugh! This can be so stressful!!
