Birth control pills while BFing

Anyone one on birth control pills while breastfeeding? Doc put me on Lo Loestrin Fe about 2.5 weeks ago. I am noticing a SLIGHT decrease in my production while I pump after her morning feed. I was getting at least 2 oz now I'm down to about 1 or 1.5. I called my doc this morning but he is out today and tomorrow. Should I continue taking the pills and wait to speak with him Monday or should I stop the pills now? I've started having some kind of a period yesterday - dark red and just a little which is strange because I'm not even to the part of the pack where you are supposed to have your period.
