1st PP Period and supply

I've had a period back in January but not again because I started EBF... at least until 2 days ago. It. Freaking. Sucks. It's so heavy and everything hurts, my stomach, my sides, my lower back, my head...

I've heard that 6-7months is the average time for your period to resurface but does anyone know if it can affect your supply? The girls seem much smaller, and they are really squishy all the time and DD eats different then she used to. The same amount of time, but she's pulling and getting frustrated and using both sides vs. just the one like before. DD is still having the normal amount of wet diapers though... I've been drinking lactation tea like no tomorrow which seems to be helping a little.
