Informal milk donation

 I have breastfed my baby for 8 months but recently my supply has become so low that I am only able to produce about 4 oz per day.  I am heartbroken because breastfeeding is extremley important to me but I think this is the end for us. I tried to offer her formula but she will not drink it, so I am using up what is left of my frozen milk.  I called my lactation consultant and she said she knew a lady in town who has a huge frozen supply she doesn't have any more freezer space for and would be happy to donate her milk to me. I have been wrestling with the decision to keep trying to use formula or to use the donated milk.  My questions is, since this is an informal milk donation and not through an organization that pasturizes or tests the milk, is it safe? What would you do?

I am so low on milk I need to make my decision on this today, I really appreciate you taking the time to read this.  Thank you for your help!
