DS refuses to nurse before bed but...

Hi all,

DS refuses to nurse before bed. He acts like he is hungry and latches but then pops on and off for about 5 minutes before he just gives up. I put him down to sleep and, like clockwork, he wakes up 45 minutes later ravenous. Any ideas?
