cramps on one side normal?

I wrote this on my FEB2013 group as well.... 

My cramps have been mainly spread out along my lower abdominal pretty even.  starting yesterday it has been targeted to specific areas.  My ride side mainly, and sometimes it will shortly be on my left side.  Is this normal?  I saw that symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy is pain on one side... but this isnt really PAIN.  its just cramps.  What do yall think? 

 Also- what is the difference in miscarriage pain and regular pregnancy cramps?
