Sleep training a BF baby?

How do you do it? Is it the same? DS is still up 3-4 times a night and they only way to get him back to sleep is to nurse. He's not eating really though, just sucking. So do we just go full on CIO? Any other suggestions? He's almost 9 months and 22 lbs so I'm pretty sure he's ok without the little milk he gets nursing in the middle of the night? I'm just SO tired
