question about morning sickness?

This may sound like an idiotic question, but when resources say that morning sickness typically begins at around 6-8 weeks -- is that when you are "6 weeks pregnant" or is that 6 weeks from actual conception? Because of how your length of pregnancy is actually measured from the first day of your last period, y'know? What have been your experiences?

I'm not officially a "member" of the 1st Tri boards yet -- still hanging out in the 2ww on TTC until I (hopefully) get a BFP -- but thought I'd ask a few pre-emptive questions to distract myself from the anxiety of this wait! Hoping to be able to offer an official intro sometime really soon!
