Do you think this is weird?

My IL's are members of an "ownership resort", which is like a time share but there are locations all over and they get a certain number of "points" a year and can spend those points at different resorts all over the country/world.  Thankfully, they almost always use their points at the nearby one when they come to town.

The odd part is they always get a 2 bedroom room and push for us to stay with them overnight.  I think this is weird.  I have a nice comfortable house with a nice comfortable bed; why would I want to stay in a hotel room (more like a small condo) with my in-laws?
