What is your thought on names on backpacks?

I am torn. Allie got her backpack and lunch box for K. I kind of want to have it monogrammed/personalized. I am the paranoid freak who also doesn't want her vulnerable to sickos who can see her name. As far as I know I will be picking her up and dropping her off.
