Switching sides multiple times

My baby is only five days old so we're still trying to get the hang of breast feeding, but i've been having to switch sides a few times each feeding.  He will do 20 to 25 minutes on one side and then latch well on the other for usually another 10 to 15.  But then after a few minutes he still acts hungry and will only go back to the first breast for up to another 10 min.  Does anyone else have that happen?  Is this normal to have to go back to the first breast?
