burp and emptiness

Hi,

 I'm EBF, and let me just say first that it's not as natural as I thought it would be! But I'm determined to make it at least to the 6 month mark.

 

My question is this: I've been debating the one side vs 2 sides and when to burp... question and reasing different posts here, many people seem to say to wait till she gives up the breast and then see if she still wants more by switching to the other side, and burping in between...

Thing is, I have never seen my daughter let go of the breast yet, she will semi-fall asleep, and seems to be suckling more than anything so at some point I'll take her off myself... anybody else in that situation?

So if I just do one breast per feed, which I'm perfectly fine with, than when do you burp her? Do you unlatch your baby at some point to burp her?
