Poly vi sol change stool color?

My son is EBF and normally has the normal seedy yellow poops that do not smell. Last night I gave him poly vi-sol with iron vitamin for the first time, and today his poop is brown and has a very slight odor to it. I am wondering if anyone has experienced this with giving their LO this vitamin. I am assuming the change in his stool is related to the vitamin, but not sure. I don't think I ate anything I haven't eaten before while BF him, so I am hoping the change is related to the vitamin.
