Is this nipple confusion?

I had to go back to school when LO was 3.5 weeks old. I'm gone from 7:30-1:30 and my husband stays with DD - he gives her 1 bottle while I'm out, a Born Free with level 1 nipple. My initial nipple pain subsided at about 1 week, and returned after we introduced the bottle at 3 weeks. Her latch looks alright, maybe a little shallow, could she be sucking differently?
