Teething and Latch?

DS has recently (this week) started teething. I noticed his latch get shallower before I realised he was teething, and unlatching and starting over (repeatedly) is (a) frustrating for both of us, (b) killing my nipples and (c) taking LOADS of time.

If I just ignore the behaviour will he go back to latching properly soon?

Please tell me this is going to get better.
