Breast soreness/tenderness

DS is 3 weeks old today. I have an oversupply that I have been trying to correct by feeding on one side per feeding. This is gradually helping. My breasts are sill really sore though. Not just normal nipple soreness, but my breast feel kind of like they do before my period (but a bit more severe). Basically they are really tender to the touch, if someone hugs me, etc. Is this normal? And how long does it last?
