Birth control and supply

Hey so I started the mini-pill a week ago, nothing has happened to my supply as of yet but I am a little nervous that it might.  How long do you think I should wait before I know if it is going to change how much I'm producing?  Also I am starting to spot a little today (I am 6 1/2 weeks post postpartum been without any bleeding for about 2 weeks, if this is the start of my period how much does that interfere with production and breastfeeding?
