S/o of virgin drinks below

A few of you mentioned how you wouldn't want a teen or preteen to have a virgin drink because it might encourage them to try it with alcohol.  Isn't this the same theory parents have about not allowing teenage girls to go on birth control or have sex Ed?  Thoughts?
