How would I know in subsequent monthly OB appointments that my baby is ok?  I have been to my first appointment at 10 weeks, and was told that I would be too early to hear a heartbeat so they didn't bother with the doppler, so it turned into a Q&A session and was sent for more blood tests.

I've been to two ultrasounds, one at 7 weeks and the other at 9 weeks, both times I saw a heartbeat, but going forward, other than the doppler, how would I know my baby is ok?
