BF and irregular periods

so i have been ebf for six months and just recently started introducing cereal. anyway i heard your periods could be irregular while your breastfeeding, like you could maybe not even have your period at all while bf. about 6 weeks pp i got my period (about 2 days after my pp bleeding stopped, awesome right?) and i haven't been keeping perfect record of my cycles but i do know i have been having my period every month at around the same time of month but i couldnt tell you the number of days between them.

which brings me to my inquiry; i don't know how many days late i am, but its approximately 2 weeks i have taken 2 p tests both negative (one 2 weeks ago and the other 1 week ago) so that whole irregular period thing, can this be in that category or should i buy yet another test? of course i will anyway if AF isn't here soon. has anyone else had theirs regularly and suddenly skip a period or two etc?(without being pg)
