Conceived before my friends!

My DH and I just started TTC. We went off birth control for one month without trying to let it clear my system a little then starting trying after that. We got pregnant the first try! At least I'm assuming its still in there. First doctor's appointment on Tuesday! Anyway, my brother and his wife have been trying for a second baby for 10 months with no luck and our very good friends have been trying for about as long with their first. We didn't even tell people we were trying. How can I tell these women that I'm pregnant without upsetting them? I've been thinking of maybe just telling a little white lie that we had been trying for a few months but just weren't telling people. What do you think?
