No size scans

So... my doctor has not scanned me at all for my baby's size (ultrasound). At each appointment I ask him what he thinks she will weigh and how big he thinks she is and he just guesstimates 7-8lbs and says that I'm measuring right on track with my weeks. (Fundal height)

I've never had an ultrasound or anything to check the baby's size/fluids etc. 

I know my doc is pretty laid back, but is this normal?? I feel like everyone else has all these measurements and numbers and estimates and my doctor just wings it...lol
