your advice please on traveling close to due date

I just found out that a very important meeting for my work will be held July 24th; I'm due July 28th.  The meeting will include a 2 1/2 hour drive (one way) and then a 4-5 hr meeting.  There is a big supper at night but I'm not planning on attending.  I'm going to make sure that I'm not driving myself, but slightly concerned with how close it is to my due date.  When I had my last u/s at 21 weeks, based on the measurements, the computer moved my due date up to July 26th.  My doctor never acknowledged this new date, however, so I've stayed with the original date.

My questions: would you guys do this small travel?  Any suggestions.  Would you change your due date based on the u/s even though the doc never said anything?
