Thrush, how do I know?

My baby has recently been gassy, crying & pulling off the breast & making a "clicking" noise. My breasts are sore, but nothing terrible. My nipples look fine & they aren't itchy at all. Baby doesn't have white spots in her mouth (other than the milk residue on her tongue.) Could this be thrush? My gut tells me something is wrong. But she will nurse fine during the day, and she is almost 6 weeks, so it could be a growth spurt? Thoughts?
