BITING!!! i dont know what to do!!!

My 5 month old has his two bottom teeth and two top teeth in. which is cute and all, until he bites my boob! omg it hurts sooo bad! last night was the worst. baby c for some reason thought it would be awesome to wake up at 3am. well i went to feed him from one boob, he bit me. tried again, bit me harder. switched to the other side, bit me again! i was in tears!! he was crying and so was i! iv tried flicking his cheek, yelping. but he keeps biting.

 is he weaning himself? he cant fall asleep at night to go to bed without me (my boob) which is my fault i know. he has had rice cereal a few times and loved loved loved it! so what should i do? i want to nurse him for a lot longer, but i cant keep up with this biting! my life flashed before my eyes!
