Cramping on and off...FTM

I am 36w5d and have been having light menstrual type cramps in my lower abdomen and back, it's nothing painful just uncomfortable and annoying. My question is what's going on when this happens? I'm a FTM so I have no clue what contractions feel like, aside from you ladies on here. I'm not sure what BH feel like either, except that the stomach is suppose to tighten up.

Any thoughts? I know it could be a bunch of things, just interested in hearing others opinions.
