Celebrating one year of breastfeeding!

And still going strong!

We made it though 5 days in the NICU, going from feeding though an IV, to a bottle, to bottle and nipple shield, to nursing with the nipple shield, and then ditching the nipple shield.  She's had donor milk, and a bit of formula, and mostly nursed lots and lots and lots.  2 trips to the lactation consultant, weight gain concerns at 2 months and 4 months, and countless weight checks.  Through the year we've gone to La Leche League meetings, nursed in public, met lots of other breasfeeding moms, and nursed and cuddled to sleep countless times.

So proud and happy to be a nursing mom!  Keep going ladies!  It is so worth it!
