How do you know you aren't pregnant

This may sound like a stupid question but when you are ebf and on the mini pill I know it's possible to go without a period. So how do you know your not pregnant. I had my period sorts,  it was really light, the first week on the pill it's been 6 weeks since i started it and I haven't had a period again so it is bad in nervous about being pregnant again. Do you ladies take tests or just have faith that you're not?
