Nesting and Labor?

I'm currently 36 weeks and 4 days pregnant. 1/2 centimeter dilated, and thinning a bit. My daughter's head is in position in my pelvis and getting really low. Doc said I could go into labor any time now (also that baby is a little ahead of schedule and ready to be born whenever). I just started nesting today like freakin' CRAZY!!! Does this mean labor is imminent or is this just another old wives tale? Silly Q I know, I'm just so eager to get this over with, as long as my baby is healthy. (Which she apparently is, according to my doc and some tests/ ultrasounds.)
