Went to L&D last night, feel dumb this morning

Last night after what was a normal day of activity for me, at about 8pm I started having lower abdominal cramping with a low backache, I drank some water and waited, it didn't go away so I called the Dr. Line. He said drink some more water give it an hour and if it doesn't go away come in.  Well I drank the water and it didn't go away, so we went in.  Luckily it turned out to be nothing since I am only 33.5 weeks, but this morning I feel dumb for going in...anyone else have this experience?  I guess better safe than sorry!
