Breastfeeding

"feed on demand" = every half hour?

DD is 11 days old. We were told to feedher on demand. Today she cannot be satisfied.She wants fed every half hour and pretty much sleeps in between. Is this a growth spurt? The beginning of a bad habit? Any suggestions?
