Have to hold breast the entire time

My LO is a week old, and when I am BFing him I have to hold on to the breast for the whole time. When I let go he unlatches, sometimes it's because he can't breathe, his nose is smooshed up against my breast. Even when it's not he still unlatches. I know that it is probably something that I am doing wrong. I have been trying to watch BFing videos on youtube, but I can't figure it out. It's getting really annoying not having any extra hands to do anything else while he's feeding. Any advice would be much appreciated!! TIA
