Boating & being in the sun

Hello again- sorry for all the questions- but like I said before my appt isn't for another month- so I have all these things running through my mind.

My H & I have a boat & boat on the Mississippi every Saturday in the summer- from late morning til evening- so all day.  I normally lay out all day and I do wear sunscreen but not much.  Do I need to apply more sunscreen and just go under the canopy once in a while or is being out all day ok?  Of course I'd still love to be out and about all day.  I'm the DD boat driver yay!  Thanks ladies!
